- Take a day trip out or participate in local activities. Whether it renting a boat out on the lake, taking in some history at a stately home, or seeking thrills at a theme park. Explore the internet or ask at your campsite for some inspiration!

A gorgeous place to visit, a popular camping destination for all ages, with plenty to do and explore. There are lots of local walks, many you can do straight from your campsite, with breath taking views and varying degrees of difficulty for all ages. The lakes provide great places to rent a boat or paddle board, or head out on a guided boat trip to learn about the local area. Being close to the sea you can take a day out to the beach, Morecambe is the perfect distance if you are staying in the South Lakes.

Whether it a lazy day on the sand, or a fun packed day at the arcades and amusements there is plenty to do in this pretty seaside town. Or head out on local walks exploring the beautiful scenery of old railway routes on the Tissington and Monsal Trails.
